🚀Job Vacancy: Junior Linux/Network Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Linux/Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in network protocols, Linux systems, and both manual and automated testing. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and solutions, Kubernetes at the edge, while leveraging tools such as TPM, Ansible, Docker, and NGINX including DNS, routing, DHCP.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Networking and Systems Administration:
  • Manage and troubleshoot network protocols such as DNS, routing, and DHCP.
  • Support the configuration and maintenance of switches, routers, and other network devices.
  • Assist in the deployment and management of Linux servers, ensuring high availability and performance.
    
• Linux Administration & Automation:
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize scripts and playbooks using Ansible to automate routine system tasks.
  • Work with container technologies including Docker, and manage web servers using NGINX.
  • Leverage TPM for enhancing system security and reliability.
    
• Testing (Manual & Automated):
  • Develop and execute manual and automated tests for network configurations and Linux environments.
  • Write tests in Python3 to verify network infrastructure and system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, diagnose, and resolve performance and reliability issues.
    
• Edge Computing and Kubernetes:
  • Assist in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters at the edge.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot container orchestration issues, ensuring efficient resource allocation and scaling.
    
• Collaboration & Documentation:
  • Work closely with senior engineers to design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable network and Linux systems.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, testing procedures, and system upgrades.
  • Participate in incident response and resolution processes, with a focus on critical remote firmware updates for network equipment.

Qualifications and skills:

• Basic to intermediate understanding of network protocols, particularly DNS, routing, and DHCP.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and administration tasks.
• Experience using automation tools like Ansible and container platforms like Docker.
• Knowledge of web server administration with NGINX.
• Proficiency in Python3 for scripting and test development.
• Awareness of edge computing concepts and basic experience with Kubernetes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex system issues.
