Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Automation Solutions: Create automated systems and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
- Scripting and Programming: Write scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to automate repetitive tasks and system configurations.
- System Integration: Integrate automation tools with existing systems and applications to streamline operations.
- Testing and Validation: Test automated solutions to ensure they function correctly and meet requirements.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with automated systems and processes.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor the performance of automated systems and perform regular maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
- Documentation: Document automation processes, configurations, and any issues encountered for future reference.
- Collaboration: Work with other IT teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on the use of automated systems.
- Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest automation technologies and best practices
Qualifications and skills:
- Scripting and Programming: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash to automate tasks and processes.
- Windows Server Administration: In-depth knowledge of Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Automation Tools: Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Jenkins.
- Virtualization: Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or other hypervisors.
- Cloud Platforms: Understanding of cloud services like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, especially in the context of automation.
- Networking: Strong grasp of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Security: Knowledge of security best practices, including firewalls, encryption, and access controls.
- Database Management: Experience with database systems, particularly in automating database tasks and migrations.
- Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Skills in monitoring system performance and tuning for optimal operation.
- Compliance: Understanding of compliance requirements and regulations related to IT operations and automation
